Foraging Find | GB Pixel Art Jam 2024
A downloadable Jam Submission
Of the 4 palette choices, this one (Forgotten Swamp) stood out to me the most. Initially I looked hard at each color and finally decided the lightest color felt to me like a morel mushroom. The green and brown tones are reminiscent of a natural environment where mushrooms might thrive. And the deep purple, which initially piqued my interest in this palette, is a fun darker mid-tone that I employed to add style, variety, and texture to the otherwise naturally colored elements.
I had a lot of fun streaming this jam! The VOD can be found on YouYube, and I made some animations using each of the WIP exports I made to count tiles.

Thank you! yeh, while deciding the textures I was mostly looking for a vague resemblance to the scene I saw in my head, then focused on just making the pixels look right together
